Terms and conditions
The terms on which Goodevent s.r.o. prepares and delivers events. They apply to business and consumer clients alike; where the two differ, it is stated.
1. The provider
Goodevent s.r.o., company no. 02796261, registered office at Platnéřská 90/13, Staré Město, 110 00 Prague 1, entered in the commercial register kept by the Municipal Court in Prague, section C, insert 223868.
Its activity is the preparation, organisation and delivery of corporate, social and private events.
2. How a contract comes about
The content of this website is not an offer or a quotation. It is a description of services.
An enquiry sent from the website is a non-binding question. On its basis we prepare an itemised offer with the scope, dates and price.
A contract arises only once the offer is confirmed in writing by both sides, or a separate contract is signed. Only then do we place orders with suppliers.
3. Price, deposits and payment
The price is agreed individually according to scope and is itemised in the offer.
Deposits reserve dates with suppliers. Their amount and due dates are set out in the offer.
The balance is due as stated in the offer. The final invoice matches the approved scope; items beyond it are charged only if agreed in writing in advance.
4. Changes of scope
Changes of scope are possible and are handled in writing, including by email.
Some changes have a deadline set by the supplier, typically the headcount with catering. After that deadline the order does not change, or changes with a surcharge; the specific deadlines are in the offer.
5. Cancellation
Cancellation is notified in writing. Settlement follows from how much has already been ordered from suppliers and what their cancellation terms are; those are attached to the offer.
If the provider cancels for reasons on its own side, it returns deposits received to the extent it recovers them itself and informs the client without delay.
6. Circumstances excluding liability
Neither side is liable for non-performance caused by circumstances beyond its control which prevent it from performing, in particular official measures, a failure of utilities, or weather that makes an outdoor part impossible.
For outdoor events an alternative arrangement is agreed in advance, along with the point in time by which a named person decides to use it.
7. Liability for the venue and for guests
Liability for damage to a rented venue is governed by the contract with its owner. The allocation of liability is stated in the offer.
The client is responsible for the conduct of guests. The provider may refuse to deliver anything that would breach the law or the rules of the venue.
8. Photography and recording
Where photographs or video are taken at the event, their scope, who receives them and whether they will be published are agreed in advance.
Informing guests that recording takes place is the duty of the client as the organiser of the event. The provider will supply the material for it.
The provider does not publish material from an event without the client's written consent.
9. Consumers and withdrawal
Where the client is a consumer and the contract was concluded at a distance, please note that under § 1837(j) of the Czech Civil Code there is no right to withdraw from a contract for leisure services supplied on a stated date. An event booked for a specific date falls within that exception and the fourteen day withdrawal period does not apply to it.
Cancelling such an event is governed by article 5.
10. Complaints
Raise any objection without undue delay, ideally on site with the coordinator, so that it can be dealt with while the event is running.
A written complaint is settled within 30 days of delivery.
11. Out-of-court dispute resolution
A consumer may turn to the Czech Trade Inspection Authority, Štěpánská 567/15, 120 00 Prague 2, adr.coi.cz, which is the body for out-of-court resolution of consumer disputes.
12. Governing law and effect
These relations are governed by Czech law, in particular Act no. 89/2012 Coll., the Civil Code.
The version published on the website at the time the offer is confirmed applies. The date of the last change is given above.
